This year our annual Buddy Walk is going virtual due to Covid-19. While we can't gather together in Pittsburgh, I'm still really excited to gather together virtually and walk in support of our amazing loved ones with Down syndrome.
In addition to showing our support by walking, we are also excited to be fundraising for the Down syndrome Association of Pittsburgh! We have been so blessed to have this organization in our community. The Down syndrome Association works closely with and supports the Down syndrome Center of Western Pennsylvania via grant money raised by events like this. Through this clinic, Will Ray receives top notch care. The team there specializes in medical care for children and adults with Down syndrome. They think through everything medically related to Will Ray so I don't have to, are so responsive to my phone calls and concerns when they arise and we are always excited to see them at our annual clinic visits.
While our lives are directly impacted through the support of the Down Syndrome Center of Western Pennsylvania at UPMC, the Down syndrome Association of Pittsburgh also helps families going through tough medical and financial times, hold newborn meet and greets, family support groups, fitnesses classes and much more. They are truly an asset to the area.
Thank you so much for your support! We look forward to walking together (virtually) :)
