It's hard to believe but Leo is 2.5 already! This last year was huge for him. He learned to walk last October 2020, he had his feeding tube removed in March 2021, and in April 2021 Leo earned his newest title: big brother!
Of all these changes and exciting happenings, one of the things that has remained consistent in our lives... the support and value of the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh!
Throughout the pandemic we had the privilege of having the most up to date information and research when it came to covid 19 and our children with Down syndrome. I'll never forget joining a zoom meeting one evening in December of 2020, in the heat of the pandemic, an epidemiologist and Dr. Vellody dedicated their evening to answering our questions and concerns. A few months later Ben, Leo's dad, was able to connect with other dads in the same boat as us, through the DSAP.
Connection and community is what the DSAP has given our family. Please consider keeping the DSAP afloat with a donation. Every little bit helps. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
