World Down Syndrome
Day (WDSD) is an annual global awareness day on March 21 that has been
officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The DSA of Pittsburgh is
excited to share the many ways that we are celebrating WDSD! From
inclusion projects to fundraisers, we've got you covered to make a difference
this WDSD season. Are you ready to ROCK YOUR SOCKS at the virtual
WDSD Dance on 3/21? From 3-4P will be “General Admission” where DJ Eric will be
playing your favorite Disney themes, “Baby Shark,” etc. Make sure those kids
are rested and ready to party! Then from 4-5P will be the “Main Event”
where DJ Eric invites our teens and adults to party to contemporary and dance
hits! Come for one or both hours! Once you register, your Zoom link is your all
access pass. Can't decide what to wear? Don't worry. DSA of Pittsburgh has brought
you lots of options!. We have custom-made t-shirts for purchase as
well as PALS socks! Links to both campaigns are below. Feel free to share them
with friends and family. Lastly, we are encouraging all to take the “Pledge
3-21” and donate $21 a month to sustain the DSA of Pittsburgh as we continue to
provide more programming, Family Connection Series, Speaker Series, the Family
Care Fund, and some exciting new initiatives like “New Parents Welcome Boxes.” ROCK
YOUR SOCKS for Down syndrome, Pittsburgh!
